Combat Evolved is popularly known as Halo-1 which is offered by Halo game series. For its better combination, amazing plot and awesome graphics, the game has been awarded in 2001 as “the game of the year” by most of the premier game magazines. Halo 1 was a successful game which had been launched in 15th November, 2001. According to a report the game’s copies across the world till November, 2005 about 5 millions had been sold.

Bungie Studio had developed Halo 1 which is known as a pioneer video game developer of America. Its basic design was for x-box gaming consoles. Later, it had been launched on Microsoft Windows 2003 as PC version.

Halo 1 game theme runs on the twenty-sixth century where advanced soldier fight to save the Earth. They fight with alien and called as “HALO”. In the game aliens are known as “Covenant”. Covenant has many powers like – Elites, Grunts, Jackals, Hunters and Flood. In the Halo 1, player will act as “Master Chief” to complete a mission.

Halo 1 is the best game which focuses on 3D environment. It has a great story, advanced weapons, unique purpose to shoot enemies. In the game there are many vehicles with great features – Armored Jeeps (Warthog), Tanks (Scorpion), Alien Hovercraft (Ghost), and Aircraft (Banshee). Halo combat takes covers, fire and grenades when enemies attack on that.

Background music, locations and scenes are much appropriate in Halo 1. The game was most successful and got many good responses also. In spite of, there was some limitation in Halo 1 also like – player cannot carry more than three weapons at a time, weapons in game are limited and it is extreme violent game.

Halo 1 has broken about all the previous sales records of video games. Within 6 months, about 1 millions units of the game had been sold. Almost all the game magazines and news papers had reviewed it.
